Happy New Year!
2012 is here and the Village of Mt. Zion is ready for it. We have settled into our new building and are busy with bookings for the Mt. Zion Convention Center and Fletcher Park. Yes, Fletcher Park, there are bookings already for weddings in the park for next summer! Fletcher Park Recreation Center is available for rental also and is great for wedding and baby showers, birthday parties and anniversary parties.
If your students need something to do during the winter here are the Winter/Spring Recreation Classes that are being offered. We have already started registrations for all classes.
WINTER TUMBLING: MON, JAN. 9TH –WED, FEB. 15TH.

SPRING TUMBLING: MON, MARCH 5TH- WED, APRIL 11TH

MONDAY: 5:15-6:00 Preschool

NEXT OF KLIN: Glass Owl Sun Catcher: score and breaking decorative glass to create a groovy owl sun catcher. Projects will be kiln fired and available for pickup 2 weeks later. January 13th 1:00 – 2:30 pm. Fee: $14.00
WINTER FUN: Join the Mt. Zion District Library and the Recreation Department for some fun. We’ll have stories, crafts and snacks! Friday, February 17th 1:00 – 2:30 at the Library. Fee: free
NEXT OF KILN: Sunflower Birdfeeder: sculpted out of clay in the shape of a sunflower platter and finished with a wire mesh center and hanging cord. Painted the same day, pick up 2 weeks later. Monday, February 20th 1:00-2:30 pm Fee: $14.00
NEXT OF KILN: Mosaic Garden Stone: tiles of broken china will be glued and grouted on a stone to create a beautiful garden accent. Monday, March 5th, 1:00-2:30 pm. Fee: $14.00
SPRING IS HERE: Come to Fletcher Park Recreation Center to welcome spring! Mt. Zion District Library and the Recreation Department will have games, stories, crafts and snacks. Friday, March 16th 1:00-2:30. Fee: free
