Washing or cleaning of driveways, sidewalks, parking lots are prohibited. Construction sites are exempt.
Filling of outdoor swimming pools, hot tubs and ponds is prohibited.
Exterior washing of motorized vehicle is prohibited except at commercial vehicle washing facilities.
Restaurants are asked to not serve water unless requested.
From the Mayor's Desk.
The new Village Hall is now open for business at our new location of 1400 Mt. Zion Parkway. Now Mt. Zion Parkway is the north/south road that runs in front of the Convention Center/Village Hall complex just prior to entering the parking lot for this facility. (So Mt. Zion Parkway parallels Hwy 121 but is several 100 feet to the east of Hwy 121). The Village Hall is located on the south side of the building and you can enter through the double doors on the south side (will eventually be labeled above the entrance). Don’t forget to change the address of any mail that you send to the Village (like utility payments) as the post office box has been discontinued and the USPS will not deliver mail unless it specifies the new “correct” address. We also have a drop box for payments which is located on the left side of the Village Hall double doors.
The Convention Center is coming along and is just about complete. What is left is installation of some floor coverings for the front hall area and the conference rooms also the hanging of the wall system that will divide the great hall into 3 distinct rooms (when needed). We are already taking bookings for the facility with 13 events booked already.
Keep looking for some open-to-the-public events that will provide good food and entertainment for all at a reasonable price. These events are to bring individuals and families together for a fun time.
We will be having an Open House for the Convention Center and Village Hall on Saturday December 3 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM. You will be able to tour both the Village Hall and the Convention Center. Our catering partner for the Convention Center, Secret Recipes, will be present to showcase various usage layouts for the great hall as well as highlight some of their culinary offerings. Remember their motto “If you can dream it, we can do it!!”
Secret Recipes is also opening a restaurant located in the shopping plaza on East Village Parkway (the road that leads from Hwy 121 to the Convention Center). Their Grand Opening is October 29 from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM and will include free food and drink, entertainment and door prizes!
Also coming to the community in the same shopping plaza is Coz’s Restaurant. Their planned restaurant opening is currently scheduled for Saturday October 15.
We all look forward to seeing you at the Open House!
